That is a question that will get many different answers depending on who you ask, your voice and what kind of sound you are going for. Sennheiser MKH-416 P48
The Sennheiser MKH-416 P48 microphone is a shotgun mic used on television sets. Voice Talent Artists use this for Movie Trailer Voice-Overs and anything else when they need a microphone to cut-through the mix. Known as the L.A. mic, because of it’s  popularity in the Los Angeles area.

Shure SM7B – Cardioid Dynamic Voice Over Microphone

AKG C-414
The C414 is an industry standard is based upon the C12A which was manufactured in 1962. It’s a large diaphragm multi-polar pattern condenser microphone that requires phantom power. It’s great for recording acoustic instruments as well as voice, drum overheads, and piano.
